Sitting Around on a Sunday — The Lazypants Edition

Let’s see ….. what have I done since last Sunday?  Pretty much nothing productive.  Oh sure, I went to work and I guess I was productive there (that may be questionable), but apart from a pre-scheduled post I did no blogging and I did no exercise ALL WEEK.

Now, granted, it was my birthday on Tuesday so I allowed myself a little break that day, and on Wednesday I had a minor medical procedure done (results are good, so don’t worry about me!) which made me not up for anything too strenuous, but what about the other days?  I have no excuses — I was just plain lazy.

The 5k I will be running is now less than 2 weeks away, and though I am in much better running shape now than I was when I got it into my head in the spring that I was going to do this, I still do not consider myself a runner.  My goal is to simply finish the 5k, but it would be really nice if I don’t come in dead last, and for that to happen I need to work a lot harder to get prepared.

Thankfully this week is without too many distractions and I will get back on track.  My book club meets tomorrow night, but the rest of the week I have no excuses to log running miles.

A quiet week is fine! Sometimes you just need it or it just happens like that. Glad to read that your medical results turned out fine.

Good luck with the running practice. I’ve been no-so-good at going to the gym since I’m back from holiday. I’m trying but it’s with a sour face that I go, then when I’m there, I”m actually fine. Sounds familiar?

I so admire you for getting yourself ready to run the race. I have problems running, but have always wished that I could. I hope that this week’s practice goes well, and that you improve every day!

Good luck with all the running!
